Mackay Fishing Species

The Mackay region boasts a large array of diverse fishing environments and equally challenging species.

The well established freshwater impoundments are home to sooty grunter and barramundi. River and estuary systems are affected by tides up to six metres and consequently turn on some superb fishing. The islands & reefs are home to a vast number of temperate and tropical species of reef fish along with monster pelagic's.

Mackayfishing.com.au will help you find an idyllic slice of the regions most popular and accessible fishing locations and hopefully catch a few fish from them.
